Need help!!!

Ok I feel like a bit of an idiot here. But I just tried to do a feature and I copied and pasted the thumbs from the deviations to be featured and now that I have posted it all I see are the thumb numbers? How do I create a feature? cause I really want to feature some of the amazing works in everyones galleries.
Feel pretty stupid for asking this. But iv got no idea.
